Does my company needs Team as a Service?

Here are some indicators that may help you identify if Team as a Service is for you:

Variability in Workflow: If the company experiences significant fluctuations in workload, TaaS offers the flexibility to scale the team up or down as needed.

Diverse Skill Requirements: Projects that require a wide array of skills and expertise may benefit from TaaS since it provides access to a broader talent pool.

Need for Specialized Knowledge: If the project demands niche skills or industry-specific knowledge, TaaS can connect the company with specialists in those areas. Or train them.

Desire for Close Collaboration: TaaS is beneficial when there's a need for external teams to work closely with in-house teams, fostering a collaborative environment.

Integration with Internal Processes: If the company prefers external teams to follow its tools, processes, and cultural practices, TaaS is a more suitable option.

Desire for Agility: TaaS allows for more agile project management, adapting quickly to changes and new requirements.

Openness to External Collaboration: A culture that values and encourages collaboration with external partners is a good indicator that TaaS could be beneficial.

How it works?

This is a perfect example of how it works:

You, as the client (and any other stakeholder in your company or champion) talks and discuss new features or changes to the current product with our PO/PM

The PO/PM will schedule and prioritize the requirement, help define the acceptance criteria and then explain the requirement to the developers.

We will handle internally al Scrum ceremonies like daily standup, sprint plannings, grooming sessions and retrospectives.

After each iteration (2 weeks sprint), the PO/PM will communicate with the client the progress and deliveries of the team.

What you have to focus?. Discuss with the PO what needs to be done and be communicated of the outcome. You can focus on growing your business, we handle the tech part. No headaches.

Is it really more expensive than traditional outsourcing?

The truth been said, hiring a full cross-functional team is more expensive than a bunch of developers. You have to pay for the expertise and cohesion of the team, plus the internal management of the team that gets moved to the TaaS. Now, is it worth it? That depends on how much you value your time and remote management headaches.

The good thing is that we are a 100% remote company based in Vietnam, although prices here are skyrocketing compared with a few years ago, we are still cheap enough compared with other countries that the extra cost of having a full cross-functional team dilutes and still can be even cheaper than an in-house team.
